PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: This program is designed to provide instruction to speakers of other languages. Program will provide students with enough communication skills to enable them to function successfully in the community.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Training offered will include but will not be limited to the development of listening, reading, writing speaking, and cross cultural communication skills. Program is divided into five (5) courses of approximately 180 hours each, covering different levels ranging from ESOL Level 1 to Level 5.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Level 1 - No ability whatsoever in the use of the English Language. Level 2 - Functions minimally in English and be able to handle only very routine entry-level jobs that do not require oral communications. Level 3 - Be able to satisfy basic survival needs and few routine social demands; Level 4- can handle entry-level jobs that involve simple oral communications; and level 5 – expanded vocabulary, more complex grammar, and a wider choice of functional expressions.
