PROGRAM OBJECTIVE: This program is designed to prepare students to work with microcomputers. Emphasis will be placed on developing proficiency with integrated software applications as tools to be used in the job market, or to improve performance in the workplace. Hands-on experience will be included.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION: Computer Training consists of a total of 620 hours of computer training provided through a series of - INDEPENDENT MODULES that will allow the student to advance at his/her own pace. Courses will include but not be limited to Introduction to Computers, Computer Applications, Keyboarding Skills and practicum.
This program consists of five courses: Computer Technology/applications Level I-V.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Evidence of H. S. diploma; other pre-requisites vary by course; see each course for requirements.

COMPUTER TECHNOLOGY/APPLICATIONS LEVEL I

COURSE DESCRIPTION: Designed for students with little or no experience with micro-computers.
COURSE OBJECTIVE: Student will acquire general knowledge of computers, computer components, computer terminology, computer functioning, keyboard and proficiency in typing.
ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Basic typing skills, ability to read, write and follow directions.
